
What to expect
What will happen on the day?
The event will feature live music and arena displays. Access to these is included in your entry ticket. There will be craft stalls and demonstrations, trade stalls, clay pigeon shooting, children’s activities, food stalls and much more.
The event aims to give an enjoyable, relaxed day where all of the family can have fun and experience and learn about country life.
You are welcome to bring chairs and a picnic to sit and enjoy the day.
Spetisbury Country Day is a charity event run by a small team. If you would like to be involved we would love to hear from you.
Are dogs welcome?
Yes. Dogs are very welcome, although must be kept on a lead at all times. There will be a fun dog show running alongside the event if you want to join the competition.
Can I pay with cash / contactless?
Tickets on the gate, all concessions and side shows hosted directly by Spetisbury Country Day will accept both cash and contactless payments. Outside traders and food concessions will asked to take both but this is at their own discretion.
What should I wear?
Spetisbury Country Day is located in fields, at time the ground can be uneven.
Otherwise please dress for the weather of day. Hopefully it’s suncream and shorts.
Is there re-entry to the event?
Yes. If you need to leave and re-enter the site please ask for a hand stamp from the gate team.
You will be able to access your car during the day if needed by using a re-entry stamp.
How do I get help during the day?
First aid. The first aid tent will be located by the main entrance.
General Help. Event organisers will be wearing Spetisbury Country Day fluorescent tabards and will be able to provide help.
Water. A supply of bottled water will be available from the control tent.
Lost Children. The control tent located alongside first aid at the main entrance will be a rendezvous point.
Lost Property. Please hand any lost property to an event organiser or leave at the control tent. If you have lost something then please advise details to an event organiser.
Loss of dignity. Whilst the real ale tent will be located next to the music stages and dancing along to the bands is encouraged, please remember Spetisbury Country Day is a family event.
Is there parking?
Yes. Parking will be available on a first come first served basis. The parking is located on fields alongside the event.

Whilst there is limited parking in the village of Spetisbury you may be able to park at the school / church and walk back through the village via the Trailway to the event.
Accessibility
Is there accessible parking.
Yes. We will provide accessible parking spaces. These will be in the same field as the event and alongside the entrance. Spaces will be limited and as such please get in touch before you book online tickets to make sure spaces are still available. You will be asked to provide a car registration plate so we can direct you to the right place on the day.
Is the event accessible?
The event is located in fields that will be uneven under foot. There are no steps on the site. Accessible toilets will be available.
There may be loud noises on the site with clay pigeon shooting and music stages.

Where is Spetisbury Country day?
The event is located in the village of Spetisbury, Dorset. The village sits on the river Stour between Blandford and Poole. Spetisbury Country Day is located on fields to the south of the village that are accessible from Crawford Bridge.

How do I get to the site?
By Car. To help control traffic access to parking will be from the A350. Access to the site is strictly via the A350 from Spetisbury and over Crawford Bridge. There will be no access from the Tarrent Crawford / Shapwick Road. More information here.
Public Transport. The Morebus X8 service from Poole or Blandford passes through Spetisbury. You should alight at the Crawford Bridge stop.
On Foot. If walking please take care with traffic, especially around Crawford Bridge. And note whilst still accessible the fields between Shapwick and Spetisbury will be used for car parking.
By Bike. You are more than welcome to cycle.
Can I leave before the end?
Yes. Exit from the car park will be available at any time. During the first few hours of the event as most guests arrive you may have to wait for traffic to ease before departing and you may be advised to leave the site by the Crawford Bridge road rather than the A350.
